Individual Therapy
Individual therapy can help you gain greater self-awareness and insights that lead you to resolve or cope better with problems. In sharing your story, you will have someone with you through important changes, challenges, and decisions.
When we are addressing a phobia or obsessive compulsive disorder, therapy might be arranged to take place in different locations, such as the home or in the community, depending on your particular challenges. I can make myself available to hold sessions outside of the office when indicated for your treatment to be most relevant and effective.
Couples Therapy
Couples seek therapy at various stages of their relationship. I work affirmatively with couples who vary in terms of whether or not they are married, and whether or not they are monogamous, as well as whether they are opposite sex or same sex couples. In my practice, I see couples who are in crisis (e.g., as with recovering from infidelity), as well as those who are generally secure with the relationship, but who want to improve the relationship on some level. Couples therapy is usually more focused and short-term than individual therapy; however, we collaboratively decide on a term of treatment is most beneficial for your goals.
Family Therapy
I work with adolescents and their families, as well as adult families. If you have a mature pre-adolescent child who you would like to include in family therapy, we can discuss the goals of therapy and whether I would be a good fit. Family therapy tends to be more focused and short term than individual therapy; however, we collaboratively decide on a term of treatment is most beneficial for your goals.
Telehealth
When appropriate, video sessions might be used as a primary mode of therapy, or as a supplement to in-person meetings. Video sessions are facilitated by HIPAA compliant software.
Out of Network
I do not take insurance or work with insurance companies directly. By request, I provide electronic statements for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you are unsure about reimbursement, you can ask your insurance company about your particular “out of network” coverage.

Good Faith Estimate Notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you believe you have been wrongly billed by a substantial amount, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
